We started in the BK Library with a musical performance by many of our students and our Head of Music, Taran Carter.
We heard a warm welcome message from our Principal, Josh Brody. He spoke about how exciting the year ahead is and the intention of the BK Back To School Night. This night is a valuable opportunity for parents and students to learn more about what is going to be taking place in every subject over the course of the next 12 months.
We also heard from our Middle Year Coordinator, Jason Shulman, and our Diploma Coordinator, Caterina Pacitti, about the intricacies of the IB curriculum and connected components (such as the Learner Profile, Approaches to Learning and more).
Our families then broke into smaller groups to hear directly from their Year Level Coordinators and subject experts.
We came back together at the end of this event to enjoy a barbeque, and the a rainbow even came to join us!
