The young couple who got perfect marks at a school that doesn’t believe in marks – The Age

Preshil celebrates the outstanding results of our Year 12 cohort in their International Baccalaureate (IB) exams, with a 100% pass rate across the cohort.

Young people who emerge from a Preshil education are creative, thoughtful, inquiry-driven, and courageous in their pursuit of knowledge and purpose. At Preshil, learning is a rich exploration of what it means to be human. We are proud of our intentionally small and supportive Year 12 cohort. This size allows us to achieve the kind of educational depth, care, and humaneness that larger systems struggle with.

Students engage with learning in such a way that they achieve outstanding results, not because we focus on scores, but because we focus on them. We believe learning is deeply personal.

Equipped with this self-awareness allows them to confidently pursue post-secondary pathways — whether university, creative pursuits, or other aspirational goals — that align with their unique interests and talents.

These scores are remarkable, but our students are so much more than a metric. We do wish to celebrate the dedication of our students, the commitment of our staff, and the supportive learning environment that defines our school community.

We’re proud to have had 2 of our students, Stella and Manny, featured in The Age for their outstanding results.
