Hi, I’m Stewart! I’m the Head of Early Learning and Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) based in the Kindergarten within the Arlington campus. We have transitioned to offering a more accessible, inclusive and flexible Long Day Kindergarten program for 3 to 5 year olds along with an incorporated OSHC program for our primary school community. Both of which attract the government’s Child Care Subsidy.
Our program is relationship focused and community driven with a focus on supporting children’s conceptual understanding through shared imaginary play. We foster creativity, agency and imagination through shared inquiry that often has us all embodying a monster, a team of ducks or even the collection of water droplets that makes up a cloud to deepen our scientific, mathematical or social emotional conceptual understanding.
The Early Years team of Stewart (that’s me), Chelsea, Karri, Heesun, Anson and Libby work collaboratively each day with each bringing a unique and valued passion and skill to our community, much like the families and children.
